No one can buy a spot; every score is our own opinion, and every review is signed.
Independence & funding
We run no advertising and no affiliate-commission program, and we never accept payment, sponsorship, gifts, or trades in exchange for a review, a ranking, a score, or a mention. No company — including the ones we recommend — can pay to appear, move up, or stay on this site. Where we ever have a relationship with a brand we cover, we disclose it on the page.
How we form an opinion
Our top pick in each category is tested hands-on against real short-term-rental listings over a full booking cycle, using the rubric on how we test. The wider field in our rankings is assessed on public information, pricing transparency, and the owner and host feedback we gather — that is our editorial judgement of fit, and we label it as such rather than presenting it as lab data.
Ratings & scoring
Scores and stars are our editorial assessment, not a certification. A high score means we would be comfortable recommending a tool to an owner like the ones we hear from; it is not a guarantee of your results.
Authorship & expertise
Reviews are written and signed by people who host or manage short-term rentals themselves — meet them on our reviewers. We do not publish anonymous or AI-generated reviews as if a person tested the product.
Sources & fact-checking
We check claims against providers’ own documentation and pricing pages before publishing, and we prefer primary sources. Pricing and features change often; we note when a page was last updated and re-check the tools we recommend.
Corrections
